These soldiers were made in United States during 1951 – 1978. Set of 7 infantry soldiers includes 6 different fighting positions. 1 of 7 infantry soldiers, who is wearing a gas mask, is very RARE. Soldier wearing a gas mask is walking with a rifle slung over his right shoulder. Soldiers are made of hard plastic and are detailed. 6 different colors were used in hand-painting these soldiers to make them look realistic. They look like that there were lightly played with. I do Not see any paint chips. Imagine that these infantry soldiers are at least 45 years old and still are in Excellent Condition. Since soldiers no longer have original box, they will be shipped in a reinforced cardboard box and each soldier will be wrapped separately in bubble wrap and Styrofoam peanuts will be added to further protect soldiers during shipping.Louis Marx and Company was one large historical producer in plastic who produced realistic soldiers of detail. Arguably, Marx was most well-known military toy company through 1950s, which continued producing such toys until 1978. Marx is well known by collectors and some kids for making excellent quality toy soldiers. These sets were known often as ”Battleground,” offering WWII American, Germans and Japanese soldiers. Original Marx sets were painted in 1 uniform color. To find Hand-Painted Marx WWII soldiers is rare. Marx logo was the letters “MAR” in a circle with a large X through it, resembling a railroad crossing. I note that I have 18 EBay Listings of WWII Hand-Painted Plastic Soldiers Totaling 87 Soldiers, all are 1:32 in size.
