Large Sizing Note- So how big is this L Nike receiver gloves? That’s a good question. Hopefully, my following sizing explanation will give you a better idea on how big this size L glove is. Sizing a receiver glove can get tricky because some people have long fingers and short palms and visa versa. The hand span measurement technique I’m using is the one the NFL combine uses to measure hand size. You lay your hand flat on a table and spread out your fingers as far as you can left to right like you’re about to grip a basketball. Now from the tip of your pinky to the tip of your thumb left to right is your hand size. Ok, now let’s figure out the gloves hand span measurements. I tried on the L gloves and spread my fingers as wide as I could and determined the glove is roughly 8 1/2″ wide from the tip of the glove pinky to the tip of the glove thumb. So your hand span size left to right needs to be close to 8 1/2″. So how close does your hand span measurements need to be to fit these L gloves? To be honest, not super close. Just be in the ballpark or in other words just under. The only thing you have to watch out for is if your hand span is wider than 8 1/2″. In this scenario you will definitely need a size XL because the L in this listing will either be too tight left to right in the palm area or too short lengthwise or a combination of both. A little longer in the fingers is always better than being too tight when it comes to receiver gloves. You can always cheat the gloves a little higher or lower on your wrist depending if it’s a tad too long or short lengthwise. Below is a recap of the gloves measurements: —See Hand Picture At The End Of The Picture Section To See How I Determine Hand Span Measurement— Glove Hand Span Left To Right Measurement- 8 1/2″ Glove Overall Length(tip of middle finger to end of wrist strap)- 9″ Elastic Cuffs Opening Laying Flat Left To Right- 3″ Elastic Cuffs Note- The elastic cuff opening as I just stated is roughly 3″ wide. This is a very tight opening to pull over your hand and get it on top of your wrist. Once you pull it over your hand the the elastic cuffs should have a gentle secure fit over your wrist. Of course wrist size manners on how secure the fit will be when it comes to elastic cuff openings. The elastic cuff opening has to be on the smaller tighter side because it has to secure to your wrist with just the elastic stretch of the cuff. I wanted to point out how tight these elastic cuffs are because most of you are probably using hook & loop wrist cuffs which are so much easier to put on. Nike elastic cuff gloves are definitely way harder to put on than hook & loop wrist cuff gloves. You will definitely have to pull on the elastic cuffs really hard to get it over your hands for sure. My hands are on the smaller side and I had to pull really hard on the elastic cuffs to get it over my hand. There is a bright side to elastic cuffs. The one main advantage of elastic cuffs is they never come apart unlike hook & loop cuffs which tend to come apart often during a game. I’ve seen many hook & loop gloves on football receivers come apart so often that the player will just leave it unattached for the whole game. LOL! Please keep this elastic cuff tightness in mind before making any purchase decision. Thanks Team Issue Note- I am only able to get brand new team issued items when there is excess inventory from that certain college or professional team. I only buy team issued items from large NYSE or Nasdaq inventory liquidator stores who are licensed to sell that brands excess inventory. Rest assured, this team issued item is not from a flea market, yard sale, thrift store or from some stranger off of the internet. Team excess inventory is usually caused by either the team changing the style of their uniform/gear, the team switching its sponsorship to another athletic brand, the team ordering too much of one item, the team having no use for a particular size or the manufacturer making too many units for that particular team. Lastly, a team issued item is either meant for a team player, coach or any staff associated with the team. Glove Palms Note- These gloves have sticky palms which attract any super light/microscopic thing with a positive static charge. Lint, hair, tiny fibers and dust love to stick to the palms of these sticky receiver gloves. I try my best to clean these gloves with a lint brush prior to shipping them out but it’s nearly impossible to get rid of everything. So just a heads up the gloves you ordered will probably have a tiny bit of everything I just mentioned. The good news is a cheap lint brush does a good job at removing most of these particles from the palms. Gloves Detached Shipping Note- Gloves will be shipped detached from the Nike cardboard backing to make it easier to ship on my end. Detaching the gloves from the cardboard backing allows me to center the gloves over the cardboard so it doesn’t easily fold over since most gloves have a 3″ to 5″ overhang when attached. Also, detaching the gloves allows me to ship the gloves in a smaller poly mailer which reduces weight thus lowering the shipping cost for you. You can easily reattach the gloves to the cardboard backing if you want too if it’s a gift for someone. Super easy. Just stick the 2 black pegs at the end of the elastic fastener string into the 2 holes in the cardboard. Both the cardboard backing and the gloves will be shipped in the same plastic bag. Being a low volume seller means I normally have only 1 or at most a handful of a particular item which makes selling an item(s) now with a no return policy very manageable since eBay easily has over a 100 million customers worldwide.Extra Things I Do To Offset A No Return PolicyI know a no return policy does affect my sales which is why I ALWAYS go above and beyond when describing and photographing my eBay items so there are absolutely no “surprises” when you receive an item from me. Some of the extra things I do are listed below:I ship out items no later then the next business day. Sometimes I ship Saturdays if I have free time.If asked and I have the time, I will ship out the item the same day if a customer needs the item ASAP say for a birthday gift, athletic event such as a football/soccer game or an upcoming trip. Not a problem if they message me early enough and I have no prior commitments for that day or even Saturday.I list overall measurements for pretty much all my clothing items. Listing measurements for a clothing item may seem trivial to you, but it literally doubles the time it takes me to list an item on eBay. Ask any eBay clothing seller, the extra time it takes to take out a yard stick/tape measure then write or input these measurements for a huge pile of eBay clothing items is time consuming & gets a little irritating to say the least. Haha! Trust me I’d love to just write in the description, “Brand new with tags. Size Large. Comes from a smoke free home. Ships fast!” LOL! I try to describe to the best of my ability if an item runs small or big and point out flaws no matter how tiny they are. For example, you order a sports jersey from me and I send you a shirt. You order a blue jacket and I send you a yellow one. You order a men’s sweatpants and I send you a men’s dress pants. Yes, there is. From what I hear, many of my clothing customers are now forced to measure their own personal clothing items and compare it with the Overall Measurements in the listing to see if my eBay item will fit them instead of “guessing and hoping it fits” like they were accustomed too for a returnable item. Like the majority of clothing online buyers around the world, many of my customers had absolutely no clue what their technical overall clothing measurements were because of free online returns. They really only knew the basics like “I wear a medium shirt and a 33″ waist pants.” I would say after measuring thousands of clothing items, a medium in one brand can be sized much smaller or bigger than a medium in another brand because of the design cut or the material itself. This is why any customer of mine who were reluctantly forced to finally figure out their technical clothing measurements because of my no buyer’s remorse refunds brings a smile to my face. I 100% know they will definitely save money and time in their future online clothing purchases because a lot of online businesses charge a 10 to 25 percent return restocking fee for sizing issues and let’s face it; it’s a hassle and a big waste of time to return something online.
