Cover the seed tray or pots with a plastic wrap or a lid to create a greenhouse effect and retain moisture. Starting seeds indoors or a greenhouse are a must for temperature control. Place the tray or pots in a warm and bright location, ideally with a temperature of around 70-75°F (21-24°C). 6. Check the soil moisture level regularly and water as needed to keep it consistently moist. Keep the plastic wrap or lid on until the seeds start to germinate, which usually takes around 2-6 weeks. 7. Once the seeds have germinated and the seedlings have a few true leaves, remove the plastic wrap or lid and place them in a bright, sunny location. Water the seedlings as needed to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. 8. When the seedlings are around 3-4 inches tall, transplant them into larger pots or containers filled with a well-draining potting mix. You can also acclimate them to be planted outside in a sunny location with well-draining soil. 9. Fertilize the plants every two weeks with a balanced fertilizer, and keep the soil consistently moist. 10. In around 4-6 months, the strawberry plants will produce fruits, and you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. Keep in mind that growing strawberries from seed is a longer process than other methods of propagation, and it may take a year or two before the plants produce a significant amount of fruits. However, it is a fun and rewarding experience, and you can enjoy the satisfaction of growing your strawberries from scratch.
