Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE Sansui MODEL T-5 AM/FM Tuner Product Overview You are looking at a Sansui AM/FM receiver from the golden age of separate HiFi of the 1980s The tuning dial has a nice weight to it, so you can spin and free-wheel a little as you tune up and down the bands.The front panel is brushed aluminium, NOT plastic, as this a mid-range product in its time.There are some slight signs of pitting on the top cover, but it was decided that it was not bad enough to warrant a re-paint. There are also some minor marks of the front panel which one would expect for its age. It has been inspected, tested and found to be in good working condition. The inside is nice and clean (see photo) so no dust crackles when tuning. All indicator lights and LED are nice and bright and working. The green arrow LEDs illuminate independently to show if you are the high side or low side of the channels centre frequency. They both light up when you are centred. The switchable auto mute/squelch mutes audio when tuning between channels. It can also be used to force a weak stereo station into mono to reduce hissing. There is an integrated AM rod antenna attached to the rear along with Arial connectors for both AM and FM. The FM has both 75Ω and 300Ω aerial terminals for coax and ribbon type antennas.
