For a long time it was called the miner’s one, and not because of its geography: the Donbass ensemble is the only creative team awarded with the Miner’s Glory Badge, 1st degree. For outstanding achievements in the development of national culture, the Donbass ensemble was awarded the honorary title “Honored” in 1966. And exactly forty years later, in 2006, the ensemble received the status of “Academic”. Throughout its history, Donbass has given concerts in Belgium, France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Canada and many other countries; became a laureate of international festivals in the USA, Brazil, Korea, Spain and China.
